Synopsis
The Bible is not just a manual of valuable lessons for life. It is the very word of God that forms and transforms us. In her book, How to Read the Bible, Dr Mary Tay emphasizes that “(T)he ultimate purpose of reading the Bible is to know God.” God’s character and purposes for the world are revealed in the Bible through different genres such as stories, poetry and prophecy. We will learn to read the Bible well so that we can know God and be transformed into God’s people.
